Why Not Just Use Mechanical Turk Myself for Ghostwriting?

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Tomorrow the new “Article Cash” system will be released where I’ll be providing Content Spooling Network members at-cost usage of my Amazon Mechanical Turk interface for ghostwriting articles.

I had previously released a video called “One Cent Words” (available to CSN members) where I show how to use Mechanical Turk for ghostwriting. This video caused quite a reaction of excitement from those who watched it.

I know a few people have opened up a Mechanical Turk account and started submitting ghostwriting requests…

So why would you want to pay for access to CSN’s interface into Mechanical Turk when you can do it yourself?

There are 3 primary reasons:

1. Not long after I released the One Cent Words video, someone overseas informed me that only persons with US bank accounts can access Mechanical Turk to create requests (requests are called “HITs” for “Human Intelligence Task”). So unless you’re an American, this service is completely unavailable to you directly.

2. As mentioned in an earlier post, we create 100 or more individual HITs for each full service ghostwritten article (original article plus 3 rewrites). In order to produce reliable results, after every individual HIT is first reviewed by our automated system, we create 2 more HITs for a humans to review the content. If they disagree, a 3rd HIT is created as the tie-breaker. We do this for every article and every paragraph of every rewrite.

Needless to say, the time it would take to create each of these HITs manually would be overwhelming. Indeed, Amazon’s system was primarily designed so that computers could interact with it, not people.

3. Are you forgetting the primary benefit of CSN? Ghostwritten articles are automatically added to your CSN member account for push-button publishing to an impressive number of related network sites and the top external article directories.

So not only does your CSN membership give you access to at-cost ghostwritten articles, but you get access to a streamlined publishing system that has been achieving impressive results.

If you’re already a member, expect this new functionality to go live Friday at noon Eastern.

Update: I’ve been informed that Mechanical Turk doesn’t require you be a US Citizen, only that you have a US bank account. While it may be next to impossible for an average non-citizen to get a US bank account, international businesses are apparently able to do this.

Why I Hate Article Marketing And Love Mechanical Turk

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

It all started a year ago when I figured out on paper how I was going to make a fortune with AdSense by writing articles.

About a week into writing on subjects such as teeth whitening, classic car insurance, and colon cleansing, I knew one thing… I hated writing articles.

I’ve spent this past year doing everything I can to avoid writing articles on subjects I care nothing about.

So when I started the Content Spooling Network last February (which itself was a manifestation of my desire to do anything but actually write an article), I knew that to keep it useful for myself and anyone else like me, there had to be a ghostwriting component built in.

Hiring and managing a staff of ghostwriters was out of the question. So I turned to Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. I figured if I could modularize the process enough, and provide extensive automated and turk-driven reviews of all the content, it could work.

Of course it was a no-brainer when it came to using Mechanical Turk for other CSN operations such as reviewing websites for acceptance, but writing a quality article was a bit risky.

Well, I’m happy to report that Amazon’s Mechanical Turk has been performing for us reliably for the past 6 months. It was a bit shaky at first as we constantly tweaked our process to achieve the best results.

Now I can outsource my article writing when I’m not feeling up to the task. And if I feel up to the task of writing, but not rewriting (Articles must be paraphrased into multiple versions to be submitted through CSN so we can publish a unique version of your article to each distribution point.), I will be able to outsource that as well.

As stated in the previous post, on Friday August 24, 2007 I’ll be releasing a new benefit to Content Spooling Network members… Article Cash.

Article Cash can be used within CSN to utilize our interface into Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for ghostwriting original articles and rewriting articles. These articles can then be submitted through CSN to member sites and external article directories.

Tomorrow I’ll answer the question, “Why not just use mechanical turk myself instead of going through your service?”

CSN Article Credit Overhaul! …big changes to CSN

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

The other day I canceled all existing article credit subscriptions…

As you may know, CSN uses Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for our ghostwriting. (Watch the One Cent Words video in the member area if you haven’t yet.)

In fact, we’ve modularized the process to such an extent, that often over 100 or more individual workers have their hand in writing & reviewing a single article request using our ghostwriting services.

After conducting a thorough audit of all the costs involved, I realized I can provide this service much cheaper as an added benefit of CSN membership.

How much cheaper?

Try $17 for an original article + 3 rewrites to avoid submitting duplicate content + 4 article titles + 4 article summaries that can be used as resource boxes if you wish.

I’ve charged as much as $45 for a single article request in the past (the past, as in 2 hour ago before I changed the price!)

I’m now referring to article credits “Full Service Article Credits” so that the full process can be distinguished from a very new feature…

ARTICLE CASH

Now this really is the most incredible enhancement.

So incredible, I decided to delay the launch until Friday just so this simple email doesn’t disguise the greatness of the power you now have with CSN.

Want just an article without the ghostwritten rewrites?

$5.20 AND IT’S DONE.

Have an existing PLR article that you want rewritten for submission throuch CSN?

A FEW DOLLARS AND IT’S DONE.

With the addition of these features & pricing, CSN is far-and-away the most valuable article marketing resource available on the Internet today.

CSN began almost 6 months ago and we’ve just passed 400 active websites within CSN with 225 active members. I’m still working my full-time day job as a programmer, and CSN is what I do when I get home.
